Case Study
AWS to GCP Infrastructure Migration
Migrated production Kubernetes infrastructure from AWS to GCP while maintaining Dev, Staging and Prod parity.
Challenge
A production workload running on AWS EKS needed to move to Google Cloud (GKE) without disrupting multi-client delivery pipelines or environment parity across Dev, Staging and Prod.
Architecture / Approach
Used Velero to migrate Kubernetes workloads from AWS to GCP, and rebuilt CI/CD around GitHub Actions and Cloud Build/Cloud Deploy targeting GKE. Re-established Dev/Staging/Prod parity on the new platform using Terraform, Ansible, Drone CI, ArgoCD and Istio, and containerized remaining applications as part of the move.
My Role
Led the migration execution and rebuilt CI/CD delivery for the new GCP-based environments.
Outcome
Completed the platform migration from AWS to GCP with environment parity preserved and CI/CD fully re-pointed at GKE across all client deployments.
